I am counting down the days until next weekend. My husband is taking the kids (and the dog) camping, leaving me on my own for two glorious nights. As a business owner, wife and mother of a 5-year old, I don’t get many moments – not to mention days! – that I get to spend solo. I’m having friends over on Friday for a girls’ night in, which will be wonderful and filled with food, wine and a “chick flick.” Come Saturday, I’m truly torn on what I want to do: stay home and watch Lifetime movies all day long, or go out to spend hours perusing the stores I love without a young child asking me questions/telling me he wants to leave every two minutes.

I suspect this is the dilemma a lot of people face when planning a special weekend on their own or with a loved one. Fortunately, Ponte Vineyard Inn caters to both the guests seeking relaxation and the ones wanting to experience as much as they can.

Relaxation-Chasers

A weekend away from home means one thing: relaxing. If you’re looking for quiet and comfortable, the Inn has you covered. You may never get out of our pillow-topped mattress beds draped in fine, soft linens. If you do, step into our signature robes and slippers. Order room service, book an in-room spa treatment and enjoy a bottle of your favorite wine on your private patio or balcony. Get up early and see the hot air balloons rising over the vineyards!

If you do wish to venture out of your room, there is no need to go far; warm fire pits are just steps outside your door in the courtyard, while 3 tasting rooms are within walking distance. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at Bouquet Restaurant and The Restaurant at Ponte are quiet, serene experiences with great food and stellar views.

Movers and Shakers

Those who want to take in all Temecula has to offer over a couple of days will be just as satisfied by staying at our boutique hotel. Our central location makes it easy to visit multiple wineries over the course of a weekend. In addition to wine tasting and winery tours, Temecula Wine Country offers hot-air ballooning, horseback riding, golfing and carriage rides through vineyards. A short drive into Old Town Temecula will bring shopping, antiquing, a Saturday morning farmer’s market, dancing, nightlife and restaurants. Don’t forget to end your evenings with cocktails and live music at The Cellar Lounge, located downstairs at Ponte Vineyard Inn.

So, what kind of weekend warrior are you? And – more importantly – when can we expect to host you?
