What is a commute?  A boring, monotonous drive from home to work and back.  Does this sound familiar?  Fortunately, this is not the case for me. I work at a lovely boutique hotel in the beautiful Temecula wine country, Ponte Vineyard Inn.  My thirty minute commute takes me through rolling hills and hot air balloon-filled skies with vineyards and wildlife in the backdrop.  I’m not trying to brag here, believe me.  I’m just trying to let you know that you, too, can give yourself a break from the common traffic, smog and road rage-filled commutes that all too many people experience every day.  It’s ok (and encouraged!) to take a vacation from the chaos!  We recently found out via a survey commissioned by Expedia.com that American’s left 500 million vacation days unused this year…half a billion!  Hey, you earned those days, now go ahead and take ‘em.  We’re 6 miles off the I-15; an hour or so drive from San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and Palm Springs.  So, no more excuses – take a day or two or three (those extra ones that you weren’t going to use at all) and wine yourself, dine yourself and even stay overnight with us.  Even one day in the country can do wonders for your spirit.
