Well, the concrete work is now finished at the Inn. The last Thursday of July, the last trucks rolled in and poured the remainder of the slab, connecting the lobby area with the two wings containing the rooms. The basement is now fully enclosed, and the elevator well and stairwell are ready to receive their equipment and stairs, respectively.
The foundation for the porte cochere is in place, as is most of the on-site infrastructure. Water, electricity and sewer are in place, waiting to be connected to the building.
This week, as many as 120 carpenters are on site building the first walls and soon, within a few weeks, you’ll be able to see the outline of the building.
To monitor our progress we’ve installed a web camera on the tasting room that points at the construction site. Stay tuned, as this will come online within the next few weeks!
